Ellis Faas' Eye Lights

How cool are these eye shadow shades?? I've been obsessed with Ellis Faas' makeup line since I first previewed it at a Space NK event last year and even months later I'm still in awe of the awesome saturated, metallic color I get from the brand's Eye Lights (pictured below). One thing I have to say though is that I recommend applying the shades lightly -- a little goes a long way and if you apply too much you risk irritating your eye lids, something I found out the hard way. Also it take a few seconds for the makeup to dispense so be patient; if you turn the pen too quickly because you don't see any liquid coming-out, you will suddenly find yourself with an overflow (again, something I found out the hard way!).

The Eye Lights are liquid, but they dry upon application and since Ellis Faas' other shadows are non-shimmery, they work well in combination with the rest of the brand's collection as a highlighter, though they can just as easily be worn on their own. The particles in the product are very fine, so it will appear from a distance that the shiny texture is oily or wet – even though it's perfectly dry with a
smooth finish, so you won’t feel any stickiness on the eyelids, and they will not build up in eyelid creases.

The Lights  are available in five shades: warm silver, greenish gold, bronze, lilac, and holographic Bordeaux and would work just as well for everyday life as they would for a glossy editorial shoot!
