The road to success

I just got the call yesterday that M.A.C. Cosmetics wants to bring me on as a freelance artist with the company.  Super excited, I could hardly wait to break the news to my supporters.  I am very greatful for the people in my life that believe in me and know that my pursuit of this career as a makeup artist is one that I am passionate about.

It is of my firm belief that every success story starts with the willingness to give up everthing that you thought you knew 'yesterday' to begin a new uncensored journey of freedom 'today'.  With that said, I always thought that being in the medical field was the place that I would call home career wise.  Always wanting to fit into a mold but the mold did not fit me.  There was somthing missing in my adulthood and it was called creativity. 

Creativity would soon become my expression of freedom.  A freedom to explore colors, ideas, visions, and a chance to practice art.  Makeup gave me that outlet.  This is the reason that I chose to become a makeup artist.  Transformation of beauty; has always been my ultimate goal.  I believe that everyone has something uniquely beautiful about them that no other person in the world can imitate.  Bringing out this beauty is always the first priority.

Words really cannot explain how determined I am to reach the highest level of accomplishments with my career as a makeup artist.  The rapper, 50 Cent, had a movie out a couple of years back; "Get Rich, or Die Trying".  I truly understand what this meant.  Getting rich is not the main concern of this passage, however the most pressing part of this phrase and my interpretation of it is as follows:  No matter what, I will remain focused on staying on this road of achieving my goal of being an international makeup artist.  If it means staying up until 2 a.m. to work on techniques, searching the internet for gigs and business ideas then so be it.  If it means taking risk and leaps that no one else understands, then so be it.  And even when I feel like giving up, then OH WELL, I have come to far too quit now!
